Reading School Contest

As part of the Erasmus + project "Dream a Little Dream" our Polish teachers Karolina Świętoń, Anna Nowacka and Małgorzata Ekes organized a reading contest  "None who enter will leave unchanged." Students from 7 primary schools in Elbląg had to answer the questions about the content of Brandon Mulla's book entitled "Fableheaven", which opens the series with the same title.

The competition was inspired by the 6th-grade students' enthusiasm while reading and discussing  the book during the lesson.

The aim of the project and competition is to promote reading and familiarizing students with contemporary literature for children and young people. As it turned out, the book found its fans among the teachers who came.

The students had eight different tasks to solve. There were guessing games, ciphers, scratch cards and other attractions.

During the competition, Mrs. Świętoń presented the aims of the project, and all participants and teachers received the bookmarks with the logo of the project. During the break, students of the sixth grade presented the play "My friend Kemushi" using the kamishibai theater project purchased from the Erasmus + funds.

We would like to thank students and their carers from Primary Schools no. 4, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25 and the Piarist Schools team for taking part in the competition, excellent preparation and great fun.

Congratulations to the winners:

1ss place - students from Primary School 21
2nd place - students from Primary School 25
3rd place - students from Primary School 14

We encourage you to read more books from the series "Fableheaven" and their continuation, entitled. "Dragon's guard."
